Will it Damage My Natural Lashes?
I’ve heard lash extensions will damage my natural lashes… What most people don’t realize is, applying lash extensions is an art. It’s not one size fits all. Many people are under the impression that you need to take a break from lash extensions for your natural lashes to breathe.
When it comes to lash extensions, a lot of women that already have full lashes believe they don’t need to try them. This simply is not true; with our services, you can always get a better “pop” effect. A full set of lashes, darker and even longer. The sky is the limit and anyone can benefit from an extension service. It also helps that by having the lashes, many ladies can either cut down or completely avoid using products like mascara. Some even have allergies to such beauty products, so having the lashes give everyone a chance to look their absolute best!
Bringing pictures of lashes or people with lashes as an example can definitely aid in the process as well. Sometimes we’ll understand the look or style you’re interested in having. But sometimes there’s a particular look and with a picture, we can replicate a closer mirror to that idea.
Many clients are concerned with their eyes being irritated by the weight or chemicals involved with having extensions on their lashes. But, the important thing to note with eyelash extensions, when done properly, do NOT touch the skin which prevents the possibility of an allergic reaction. Even though the synthetic materials used can be intrusive to some bodies not used to them, they are actually safer than a wide range of “natural” beauty chemicals.
While the initial application can take some getting used to, a well-done extension should not only look great, it should feel great! Having them on not only shortens the length of a normal makeup application, it can greatly enhance the “WOW” factor of a client’s eyes.
You don’t need a thousand lashes on each eye; you also don’t want less than twenty. Each individual appointment involves us evaluating the right amount for you. Factors such as eye and lash health, as well as the overall shape of your natural lashes, can all play key factors in deciding the total amount. While some salons will try to sell you on quantity to make an extra buck, Sassy Lashes prides ourselves on helping you choose the best option for you. Sometimes these won’t always make us the most profit, but you leaving happy with a safe and friendly environment is of our utmost concern.
Natural Eyelashes Falling Out?
Hands down, one of the biggest myths I always hear is that lash extensions can make your natural eyelashes fall out: This is simply NOT true. If applied correctly and properly, extensions are safe and will not ruin the health of your natural lashes. Be sure not to rub your eyes or tug or pull the extensions because this can cause premature lash loss and even damage to your natural lashes. This goes without saying though as normal lashes can be damaged if pulled and irritated enough. If the lashes are applied properly and to each individual lash, they won’t fall out as their weight is directly held to a single lash, rather than a base with multiple. If done properly, lashes can actually improve the health and quality and your natural lashes! Since each lash extension is attached to a single eyelash, they will naturally fall out with the innate growth cycle of your lashes.
